Let Spring Motivate You

No matter where you are in the clutter clearing process, let spring motivate you to tackle a big project and get it done. Follow these 3 steps and you'll have more time and energy to enjoy all that spring and summer have to offer.

1. Pick one area that bugs you the most and work on it every day for 30 days. Avoid distractions and interruptions and finish this task before getting involved in another. You'll be done by April 15th!

2. Keep your END RESULT (goal) in mind. Why are you clearing clutter? How will you spend your time and energy when you are clutter free? As you work on de-cluttering, remember your goal to read in your hammock, work in the garden, fish in the mountains, swing your kids/grandkids at the park.

3. Ask for help. Get your family or friends involved. More hands and objectivity are key to getting your project finished.

Once cleared, create special space that says "Spring is Here". You might place a bouquet of tulips, daffoldils or iris in the area to keep clutter from returning. Be sure to plan how you'll use your free time.
